We had the same problem in Australia with previous conservative politicians not even knowing that pork barrelling was corruption. We have just had a report into Medicare that found waste, fraud and abuse (by doctors)is making this foundation of public health unaffordable, and we have paid billions of dollars to a company for off-shore detention contract (for refugees) that was never put to tender… it all just slips under the carpet.
